火警短文和例句。

短文

1.          (火警的時間、地點和原因)It is now thought that the fire which destroyed the Peninsula Hotel in Tsimshatsui last night started from the kitchen when a pan of cooking oil was left attended.

2.          (火勢如何;傷亡如何)The fire quickly spread up the stairs and through the rest of the hotel.  Most guests were able to leave the hotel before the fire got out of control, but firefighters had to rescue three young children who were trapped (被困)in their bedroom on the third floor.  Three other people were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke.

3.          (採取了甚麽行動救人救火、減少傷亡損失)Surroundings buildings were evacuated(撤出;疏散)while firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control (消防努力控制火警).

(b) People saw smoke billowing from the burning building. About ten minutes later, one explosion came after another, huge or small(人們看見濃煙從焚燒的大廈湧出。約十分鐘後就是一個個或大或小的爆炸。) (c) I had a strange dream last night that I was engulfed in billows of smoke in a deadly fire.  My spirit then deserted my body and, on its ascent to heaven / descent to hell, saw my parents crying bitterly over my death(昨天發了個怪夢,我被一場致命大火的濃煙吞沒,我的魂魄捨我的軀體而去,在上天堂/落地獄的途中,看見我的父母為我的死痛哭。).
