我很贊同和鼓勵網主多介紹像《零八憲章》英文翻譯等的網文,既可以學習英文(有助Hist essay的表達),又能夠讓人認識社會的多方面,不會片面知道劉曉波被監禁但究竟他寫了什么而導致這個下場。我相信blog對真正達到civil society發揮著很大的作用。

答覆如下:

 

如何在listening 得到language style的滿分?抱歉,我不懂教如何取得滿分。Paper 2和作文無關的前三或四個Tasks,清楚地答對資料就可以取得每題的分數,和作文有關的最後兩或三個Tasks,有一些是Task fulfillment的分數,佔主要部分,另外有language分數(例如佔題目總分22分的5分),以及organization and coherence者或format and style的分數(例如佔題目總分22分的5分)。

 

Languageorganization and coherence要求的和Paper 1B相差無幾。

 

Formatstyle要求例如awareness of audience /appropriateness of tone(知道寫給甚麽人看/因此懂用適當語氣,例如寫給校長和寫給同學或Young PostEditor的便各不相同),寫甚麽要似甚麽:寫report要似report、寫article要似articleletter要似letter、寫notice要似notice。語氣要似,格式亦不要錯。

另外,依照考評局的sample paper有以下黃色的兩段可作參考:

Sample Paper 1A

With reference to the texts and question used during the pilot test, the marks required for each level are as follows:

550 or more (78% or more)
443 – 49 (67% - 77%)
332 – 42 (50% - 66%)
222 – 31 (35% - 49%)
112 – 21 (18% - 34%)
U11 or less (17% or less)

Note: The total marks and the number of items may vary from year to year.  The marks required for each level will depend on the difficulty of the texts and questions, and will be determined by a panel of expert judges each year.

另外,對於香港的補習,我沒有甚麽意見。補習學校是商業運作,自力更生,沒有人補貼他們,有很多學生或沒有學生都是學生或家長自己對補習服務的自由選擇,縱然他們吸引學生的手法不一定得到所有人贊同,但補習學校的成敗都是公平商業競爭的結果。
