·         The question contains a message posted in an Internet chatroom, and there is a word missing in each numbered line of the message. (問題一段internet留言,有編號的每行都缺了一個字). 

·         The missing words are provided at the bottom of the page.  Missing words都附在該頁下部讓你選。)

·         You need to find out the position of the missing word (要求你找出哪裡缺了字)and write the missing word there(填上適當的字).

·         One of the numbered lines reads其中有編號的一行是):

Now I am kind of with buying comics...

Now I am kind of finished with buying comics... (Finished is the missing word. It is one of the words given at the end of the message.).

·         The secret to answering this question correctly is to ignore the expression kind of.(答這題的訣竅是當kind of不存在。)

·         The expression “kind of” or “sort of”informal/口語has two meanings(有兩種解釋。)

·         (1) rather, in a certain way有點)。

I’m getting kind of hungry (我有點餓。)

“Did he help you?” “Well, kind of.” (=not as much as I hoped) (from Longman Dictionary).

·         (2) We sometimes used the expression without any particular meaning(不表示任何意思。) 

I just kind of went for walks. = I just went for walks (我只不過去走走。)

Now I am kind of finished with buying comics. = Now I am finished with buying comics. (現在我沒有現買漫畫了。)(It is informal speech. 口語)
