Interrupting (插話)

l   Sorry, I’d like to add something here, if I may.

l   Sorry to interrupt, but...

l   May I just add something here?

l   If I might just make a suggestion...

l   May I come in at that point?

l   Sorry to interrupt, but I would like to say that…

l   Sorry for interrupting you, but…

l   Wait a minute!Hold on!

Persuading Others (說服他人)

l   My point is that…

l   Perhaps I haven’t made my point clear enough.

l   Are we overlooking the point that…?

l   Would it be better if…?

l   I think it is the best way to…

l   I personally would favor/prefer…

l   As for me…

l   Am I right?

l   Don’t you agree?

Note:

1.          Using question tags, such as “shouldn’t we?” “Isn’t it?” is very helpful.

e.g. We think it is a fine idea, isn’t it?

2.          Asking questions is also another good way to convince people to agree with you.

e.g. Would it not be a good idea to (seek our form master’s opinion)? 

Hesitating (支吾)(最好少一點,沒有就更好)
